Dwight Hilton
Interim Student Leader
Dwight has been a dedicated volunteer serving our students since 2021. In January 2026, he stepped into the role of Interim Student Leader to ensure our students continue to have a steady, Christ-centered environment during this season of transition. Beyond his work with Marie Students, Dwight also teaches the Young Adult/Family Sunday School class.
By day, Dwight works as a forester, a career that reflects his love for the outdoors. When he isn’t managing timber or leading a lesson at church, you can find him bow hunting or spending quality time with his family. Dwight is married to our Children’s Director, Emma, and together they stay busy raising their three active children and serving the Marie community.
Emma Hilton

Emma Hilton has served as Children’s Director at Marie Baptist since September 2023. Originally from High Point, NC, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and has six years of classroom teaching experience. She is currently pursuing a Certificate in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Emma is passionate about helping children grow in their love for Jesus and helping them see the relevance of the entire Bible in their lives today while equipping parents to disciple their kids at home. Her lifelong work with children has included teaching, nannying, babysitting, and volunteering in church ministries. She and her husband, Dwight, have three children—Nathan, Cassidy, and Eli. In her free time, Emma enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with her family.
